Approach passages with 2 passes. Upon 1st pass, skim through the passage, dont get bogged down on the details such as analogy, scientific process, etc. If you can get them, good, if not let it go. The important thing is you need to get the scope of passage, be clear who represent which views, and what each view is about. If it's a science passage, personaly I think they are easier, be clear on each hypothesis and theories, what expample, proof to back them up. Circle all the dates, names, etc

  2nd pass, read question, main idea and purpose/tone question can be easily answered if your 1st passs was crisp and clear. Specific reference questions need you to go back to re-read specific lines in more details. If your 1st pass is clear, you should have no problems locating where the content in question is mentioned, then you go from there.

  All in all, I found reading is probably the easiest section to attack on LSAT
