中国新能源汽车产销量连续三年世界第一
China has topped the global list of countries for both the production and sale of new energy vehicles for three consecutive years last year, reports the People's daily.

Chinese producers generated three-quarter of all the vehicles produced around the world, with four Chinese companies entering the top ten of sales of new energy vehicles.
As of the end of last year, 1.8 million new energy vehicles have been sold in China, making up over half of global total sales.
777-thousand new energy vehicles were sold in China last year.
This is an increase of over 53-percent compared with 2016. Around 85% of these new vehicles are battery electric vehicles.
Since battery electric vehicles are most popular among Chinese buyers, the shortage of charging piles has become a newer obstacle to the further development of new energy vehicles. According to Xu Changming, deputy director of the National Information Center, "China wants to expand its annual sales amount of new energy vehicles to 2 million by the end of 2020, so the charging infrastructure must be improved urgently," Xu said.
