四月起26万家公司需缴纳环境税
According to China's top tax authority, over 260-thousand companies will have to start paying an environment tax in April.
中国税务局表示，四月起将有超过26万家公司需要缴纳环境税。

"At present, tax authorities around the country have identified more than 260-thousand tax-paying identities based on the basic information on pollution sources and the historical data of pollutant charges, and are stepping up the collection of taxpayers' basic information so as to reduce the taxpayer's declaration burden in the first quarter. "
China has offered training to over 70 percent of those companies and streamlined declaration procedures to ensure that the first environment tax collection period runs smoothly.
Tax-paying entities can also choose to declare online.
The Environmental Protection Tax Law took effect on Jan. 1, and taxpayers have to file for taxation each quarter.
