索尼移动将在中国裁员700人
A majority of Sony Mobile's upcoming layoffs will be in China, but the company is not giving up the world's largest handset market, insiders have said.

At least 700 Chinese employees are going to lose their jobs at Sony's mobile subsidiary, and that account for over 70 percent of the company's global job-cutting plan, Sina.com.cn cited an unnamed source as saying on Wednesday (November 5, 2014).
The company is also reducing its business in China, including a plan to stop making smartphones that only target Chinese users.
However, Sony still says it is looking forward to bringing its China business, including smartphone business, to a new level.
Sony is out of the top 10 list of smartphone makers in China, with a third-quarter shipment of less than one million, according to market research firm Canalys.
