山东发现300多个恐龙脚印

Experts and scholars from China, the United States and Australia have confirmed the discovery of over 300 dinosaur footprints from 7 species in east China's Shandong Province, reports Beijing News.

来自中国、美国和澳大利亚的专家和学者一致确认在山东发现的300多个恐龙脚印是由7个物种留下的。

The footprints are from 100 million years ago and contain about 70 Deinonychus prints in four parallel tracks. The two-legged dinosaurs are identified by the two claws on their hind feet. "Blue" from the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom movie is this kind of dinosaur. The discovery proves for the first time in archeological history that Deinonychus lived in packs.

Scholars determined that the dinosaurs were about 1 meter long and could run at a speed of up to 2.4 meters per second.

The tracks were discovered by fossil hunters in 2015. It proves the area was an ideal habitat since 7 species lived there 100 million years ago, says Xing Lida from the China University of Geosciences.
