中国共有2956所高等院校
China had a total of 2,956 higher education institutions, the Ministry of Education said Monday citing statistics as of June 15, 2019.
教育部周一援引2019年6月15日的统计数据，中国共有2956所高等院校。
They were comprised of 2,688 general higher education institutions and 268 adult higher education institutions, the ministry said.
The figures were unveiled as the ministry released a latest list of higher education institutions with details of names, codes, sponsors and cities where they are located in.
