Chinese star Fan Bingbing has recently returned onto the big screen as she portrays the vixen spirit named Daji in the fantasy film "League of Gods".

Fan Bingbing made a comparison between her portrayals of Daji in different periods.
"I portrayed Daji in a serial TV drama about a decade ago. My new portrayal is an upgraded version, this is helped by the big budget and better special effects."
The prolific Chinese actress made the statement at a press conference held Sunday afternoon in Beijing, promoting "League of Gods" which will open in China on the coming Friday on July 29.
The movie, which has been patterned after an ancient Chinese mythology "Fengshen Bang" tells a story of how King Zhou of Shang became a tyrant due to the wails of Daji, a vixen spirit who is disguised as one of his concubines. After a series of battles involving mythological intervention, King Zhou of Shang is overthrown by King Wu of Zhou and his strategist Jiang Ziya.
Martial arts superstar Jet Li plays Jiang Ziya, a strategist in a series of battles that overthrew the Shang dynasty, while Tony Leung Ka-Fai has also joined the cast as King Zhou, the last ruler of the Shang dynasty.
