山东省发现中国最大的金矿
China's largest gold mine with 382.58 tons of reserves has been found in east China's Shandong province, China Central Television (CCTV) reports.
中央电视台报道,山东省东部地区发现中国最大的金矿,储量382.58吨。
The estimated economic value of the mine would be more than 150 billion yuan, or around 22 billion USD, Shangdong Gold Group Ltd. announced on Tuesday.
The gold deposit in the mine is believed to be China's largest deposit in history.
The gold deposit is more than 2 kilometers long and at the widest part, reaches 67 meters. The mine is located in the Laizhou-Zhaoyuan region of northwest Jiaodong Peninsula, Shandong province.
