韩国发生5.4级地震
An earthquake of 5.4 magnitude struck an area in southeastern South Korea.
一场5.4级地震袭击韩国东南部地区。
The tremor occurred in an area nine km north of the southeastern coastal city of Pohang in North Gyeongsang province at about 2:29 p.m. local time (0529 GMT), according to the Korea Meteorological Administration.
The weather service revised the magnitude from an initial 5.5 to 5.4 after a rigorous analysis.
The epicenter, with a depth of nine km, was at 36.10 degrees north latitude and 129.37 degrees east longitude.
The seismic intensity was slightly lower than the 5.8 magnitude earthquake that hit the Gyeongju city, just south of the Pohang city, in September last year.
