英国旅客中国游增长40%

That's according to specialist publication Travel Week, who report that the number of British visitors to the country has grown by 40 percent when compared to the same period last year.

Travel Week报道,今年赴中国旅游的英国旅客比去年同期增长40%。

The news comes despite the fact that it's become significantly more expensive for British people to travel abroad since 2016's vote to leave the European Union, and the subsequent fall in the value of Sterling.

Travel Week also report that the three biggest markets for tourists travelling to China are Britain, the USA, and South Korea.

As we've reported extensively over the last few months, there's also been a vast rise in the number of Chinese people visiting other countries.

As the number of Chinese outbound tourists continues to grow, industry bodies around the world are trying to predict what their destinations of choice will be.

It's more of a billion dollar question than a million dollar one. As we reported in February, when asked about 2017 travel, 70% of Chinese respondents say they will travel abroad two times or more - an increase by almost 10% compared to the same period last year.

That trend looks set to increase rapidly over the next few years, with more Chinese people than ever before holding passports.
