2016诺基亚将回归手机市场

Nokia, once a dominating mobile phone maker, is "quietly plotting a return" to the mobile market, according to Re/code.

Re/code的消息显示,曾经主宰全球的手机生产商诺基亚正在“悄悄策划着回归”移动电话市场。

Citing two sources familiar with the matter, Re/code reports that the comeback is set for as early as next year, and is being planned by Nokia Technologies, one of the three remnant divisions in Nokia after the Finnish company sold its Devices and Services business to Microsoft.

The division is in charge of managing Nokia's large portfolio of more than 10,000 patents. It is also behind the recent launch of the N1 Android tablet.

Like the N1, Nokia's upcoming phone will likely be designed by Nokia but manufactured by another company, according to the report.

About one year ago, Microsoft completed its acquisition of Nokia's Devices and Services business for US$7.2 billion.
