中国公司将建世界首座潮成泻湖发电站

A state-owned Chinese company has won the bid to build a six-mile wall for the world's first tidal lagoon power plant in Britain's Swansea Bay.

中国一家国有公司成功夺标,将在英国斯旺西海湾建造一堵六英里长的墙用于建造世界首座潮成泻湖发电站。

Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon Power says China Harbor Engineering is the company that has won the 300-million-pound, or 460 million U.S. dollar, contract.

CHEC is expected to spend half of the contract's value on a British workforce, partners and supply chain.

According to local media, the one-billion-pound Swansea Bay tidal project will deliver power to the national grid, potentially enough for 120-thousand homes.

The Chinese company has established a British subsidiary and set out its vision to pursue a Britain infrastructure investment program over the next decade.
