中英将联合处理网络威胁

China and the UK are set to cooperate in tackling the growing issue of cyber crime and security.

中国与英国将联合处理不断增长的网络犯罪与网络安全问题。

That's according to British national security advisor Sir Mark Lyall Grant, and Wang Yongqing, of the Chinese Central Commission for Politics and Law.

The areas of cooperation are expected to be broad, covering not just direct security threats but also crime including terrorism and illegal online content.

Specialist publication SC Media have reported that violent extremism and organised crime will also be in the spotlight as the two countries start to work together in this field.

This is just the latest area in which China and the UK have agreed to work together more closely.

In December, we revealed that the UK-China Television Coproduction Treaty was set bring greater opportunities for collaboration and content sharing.

Earlier this month, we reported that British Minister for Asia and the Pacific, Alok Sharma, had been to China, in the hope of further boosting ties between the two countries in healthcare.
