A passenger who slapped a bus driver on the face was given a four-year prison sentence on Thursday by a court in the city of Haikou in Hainan Province.

According to Hainan Online, in December last year, Chen Xurong slapped a bus driver who she suspected had overcharged her by 1 yuan for a ticket. The driver called the police, who arrested Chen.
The court in the city's Meilan District found her guilty of endangering public safety.
