中国移动将建造世界最大5g测试网
China Mobile has announced plans to build the world's largest 5G test network, reports thepaper.cn.
澎湃新闻报道，中国移动宣布计划建造世界上最大的5G测试网。
The announcement has been made by Shang Bing, the company's chair, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, on February 26, 2018.
China Mobile's chair says the company will start field tests in five cities, namely, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Suzhou and Wuhan, with over 100 5G base stations to be constructed in each city.
Shang Bing also says initial 5G services will also be established in 12 cities including Beijing, Chengdu and Shenzhen.
China Mobile has also unveiled its recently-developed new 3GPP air interface standard, which it says will pave the way for commercial use of its 5G network.
A day before the Congress opening in Barcelona, Huawei unveiled its Balong 5G01, which is reportedly the world's first commercial chipset that meets the latest 5G standards.
