电子竞技成2022亚运会正式比赛项目
E-sports has been included as an official project in the 19th Asian Games to take place in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou in 2022.

E-sports or electronic sports is a form of competition carried out on electronic systems. Video games, for instance, are classified as a type of e-sports.
The Olympic Council of Asia may hold an open attitude towards video games, but it is still controversial that the e-Sports be included in major sports events like the Olympics.
At the same time, e-sports has been seen as a burgeoning market in China.
Alisport under Alibaba has invested over US$150 million in 2016 to help "e-Sports gain recognition" as a sport in the Olympic Games. They also plan to invest more money to build e-Sport stadiums in the following years.
Since 2016 the Ministry of Education of China has also listed "Electronic competitive sports and management" as a major for vocational schools in the country.
