中国公民单边落地签已达36个国家或地区
36 countries and regions have granted unilateral visa-on-arrival policies to Chinese citizens, said Lu Kang, the spokesperson of China's Foreign Ministry at a press conference on Wednesday.
中国外交部发言人陆慷周三在新闻发布会上表示，36个国家或地区已给予中国公民单边落地签政策。
"Another 11 countries and regions have unilaterally allowed Chinese citizens to visit without a visa," Lu added.
Lu's remark followed the declaration made by the UK and Belgium that the two countries will provide Chinese citizens with a one-stop visa service in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong, starting from July 1.
"We believe the measures made by the UK and Belgium will not only facilitate visa application by Chinese citizens but also play a positive role in promoting bilateral exchanges and mutual understanding between our peoples," said the spokesperson.
According to Lu, the number of Chinese citizens travelling overseas in recent years has increased dramatically. Citizens from the Chinese mainland made more than 100 million overseas visits last year.
