罗马特莱维喷泉修缮后重新喷涌

Water began flowing once again at Rome's famed Trevi fountain on Tuesday after a 17-month, 2.4 million US dollar restoration.

罗马著名的特莱维喷泉周二重新喷涌,此次恢复工作历时17个月,花费240万美元。

Claudio Parisi Presicce with the City of Rome Superintendent for Culture said restoration was paid for by the Rome-based Fendi fashion house.

"This is the first big restoration project for which the public administration and the private side, Maison Fendi, have joined forces in order to give back value and to conserve an immense patrimony as that of Rome."

Tourists still had access to the dry fountain during the restoration, approaching the stonework along a temporary bridge that gave them a close-up view of the sculpture of Oceanus in a shell chariot.
