津巴布韦副总统遭撤职
Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has fired his deputy Joice Mujuru and seven other cabinet ministers loyal to her.
津巴布韦总统罗伯特·穆加贝将副总统乔伊思·穆菊茹以及其他七位忠于副总统的内阁大臣撤职。
A statement issued by the president's chief secretary says Mujuru's conduct had been "inconsistent with the expected standard."
Mujuru's dismissal comes just days after she was eliminated from the ruling party's central committee on the allegations that she was plotting to assassinate Mugabe.
But she has repeatedly denied the charge.
Mujuru had been considered one of the strongest candidates to succeed Mugabe, who has been in power since Zimbabwe's independence in 1980.
