Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff has been reelected to a second term, official results shows.

The country's Supreme Electoral Court said Rousseff garnered 51.52 percent of the votes, while her bitter challenger Aecio Neves got 48.48 percent with 99 percent of the ballots counted.
The vote is the closest in some 2-decades in Brazil.
Rousseff's left-wing Workers Party has come under fire for the country's heavy spending and increase in local taxes to fund the infrastructure for this past World Cup and the forthcoming Olympics in 2016.
