东风26导弹已正式列装解放军火箭军
The DF-26 Ballistic Missile has been formally selected into the battle sequences of the Rocket Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), said Wu Qian, the spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense at a press conference on Thursday.
国防部发言人吴谦周四在新闻发布会上表示，东风26弹道导弹已正式列装中国人民解放军火箭军部队。
Wu suggested that the DF-26 represents a new generation of intermediate-range ballistic missiles, which are completely independently-developed by China. It is capable of launching precise strikes towards significant targets on the ground and maritime targets, including large and medium-sized ships, said Wu.
"China will not change its nuclear strategy of self-defense and 'no-first-use' policy for nuclear weapons," stressed Wu.
