Chinese embassy in iraq hit by stray bullet


A stray bullet cut through the balcony door made of double-layered glass at China's embassy in Iraq on Wednesday, November 29, 2006.
 
Nov.30 - The Chinese Embassy in Iraq was struck by a stray bullet on Wednesday during ongoing, escalating violence in the Middle Eastern country. Nobody was injured.

 

Xinhua News Agency quoted an embassy official, Tan Banglin, as saying Chinese Ambassador Li Huaxin was working in the next room when a stray bullet hit his bedroom, cutting through the double-layered glass in the door of his balcony.

 

In early November, stray bullets hit three rooms of the Chinese Embassy in Baghdad, causing no injuries.
