沙特逮捕93名伊斯兰国疑犯
Saudi Arabian authorities say they've arrested close to a hundred people with alleged ties to the Islamic State.
沙特当局称,他们逮捕了将近100位涉嫌与伊斯兰国有联系的人。
Saudi Interior Ministry spokesperson, Major General Mansour Al-Turki, says most of those arrested are Saudi nationals.
"It was announced today that 93 person, among them a lady were arrested as it was proved that they were involved in terrorist activities that were targeting security and stability in the kingdom all, the detainees were Saudis except five persons. "
The arrests have reportedly been taken place since December.
Saudi authorities say the suspects have links to several plots, including potential attacks against the US embassy in Riyadh.
Some observers have accused the Saudi government of helping create what is now the Islamic State by funding extremist forces who had been initially involved in the fight against the predominantly Shiite forces of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
