鲍比・金达尔宣布参加总统竞选
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has officially thrown his hat into the ring for the Republican presidential nomination.
美国路易斯安那州州长鲍比·金达尔正式宣布角逐共和党总统提名。
"My name is Bobby Jindal. I am governor of the great state of Louisiana and I am running for president of the greatest country in the world, the United States of America."
Jindal has used his announcement to take a swipe at the prospective Democratic nominee for President.
"It's time for the folks in Washington to admit the truth, you can't grow the economy and the government at the same time. It is an either/or choice. Hillary Clinton, she wants to grow the government in Washington. We want to grow the real economy out here in America."
Jindal had been a rising star in the Republican ranks before a series of public gaffes tarnished his image a couple of years ago.
Jindal, an Indian-American, became Louisana's Secretary of Health at the age of just 24.
12-years later he was elected as the Governor of Louisana at the age of 36.
