中国为金正恩越南行提供交通保障

As Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Un made his way to Vietnam, China provided traffic support along the way, said the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on Tuesday.

中国外交部周二表示,中国为朝鲜领导人金正恩的越南之行提供了交通保障。

Lu Kang, a spokesperson of the ministry, made this remark at a regular press conference, a day ahead of the highly-participated summit between Trump and Kim in Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi.

Kim arrived in Hanoi on Tuesday, after journeying aboard his personal train through China.

After deliberations and talks, Beijing offered Kim Jong Un a secure stopover in China before he headed to Hanoi for the second Kim-Trump summit, Lu said.

China hopes to realize the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and achieve lasting peace and stability in this region, said Lu to reporters.

China called on the DPRK and the U.S. to meet each other halfway to make efforts to reach the goals, said Lu.

The Vietnamese government and people have put in a lot of effort, and we hope that the meeting will live up to this preparation, added Lu.
